Doctor charged over alleged sexual assaults on patients at QMC

A doctor has been charged in connection with five alleged sexual assaults on two patients at Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre.

Tayabb Shah, 38, formerly of Embley Road, Sherwood, was charged on Monday (22 February 2021) with five counts of sexual assault relating to allegations that two male patients were sexually assaulted between 12 September 2020 and 25 September 2020.

Dr Shah was released on conditional bail to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 23 March 2021.

His bail conditions include not to attend his former workplace, the Queen’s Medical Centre, unless in a medical emergency for his own treatment.
