Finding great deals to stock up on your favourite spirits and buy fragrances as gifts would be a wonderful Christmas treat – if only you were flying to make the most of duty-free offers.
The good news is you don’t need to bring your passport or luggage to bag a festive bargain at the airport. World Duty Free is bringing its Christmas sale into East Midlands Airport’s departures hall, where there will be up to 70% off recommended retail prices on a whole range of big brands from beauty, fashion, liquor and confectionery.
The sale will take place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 19, 20 and 21 November from 8am to 7pm, and on Saturday 22 November from 8am to 12 noon.
Parking will be available in the airport’s Mid Stay 1 Car Park for up to 100 vehicles, close to the terminal. A £2 donation covers two hours of parking, after which normal charges will apply. If this car park is full, customers will be redirected to the Long Stay 1 Car Park, which will serve as an overflow area. Customers will need to walk to the terminal as there is no car park bus service available. The airport is also easily accessible via the Trent Barton Skylink bus services, which operate from Nottingham, Derby and Leicester.

Retail and Trading Manager at East Midlands Airport, Richard Duckworth said: “We’re delighted to bring the World Duty Free Christmas Sale to our departures hall for four days. It will offer shoppers the same great bargains they’re used to when flying from East Midlands Airport – and in many cases, even better deals – across a wide range of items perfect for Christmas gifts, stocking fillers and festive drinks.
“Our Christmas tree and decorations are up so we’re looking forward to welcoming people who are ready to get into the festive spirit and tick some things off their Christmas shopping list.”
