East Bridgford is planning its “first” Open Gardens for a very long time.
The event will take place at various gardens around the village (including a Bee Farm) on Sunday 23rd June from 12 until 5pm, ensuring that most visitors will have time to visit the fifteen gardens open to welcome them. Refreshments will be available and entrance is £5 pp (£8 per pair), under 15s free.
We have encouraged local gardeners, with a wide range of garden styles and sizes, to open their gates for maybe the first time, in order to share their enthusiasm for gardening with you. From being eager visitors to Open Gardens elsewhere, we have wanted to share the interest and fun of seeing what others have done with their plot.
The new Blue Diamond Garden Centre, on our doorstep, has generously offered financial support, as have The Royal Oak, The Hill Club, Lowdham Caravans and the Parish Council. We are also really grateful to Water at Work and St Peter’s School for help with reprographics and catering.
The proceeds of East Bridgford Open Gardens will be shared between Nottinghamshire Hospice and a local outdoor improvement scheme which will benefit residents of East Bridgford.
Please make a note of the date and time; hoping for good weather.
