East Midlands Airport has temporarily closed its runway today Friday 10 March.

Our runway has reopened and our teams are working hard to keep disruption to a minimum.

‘Following a period of heavy snow, our runway is closed as we work to clear the airfield.
‘Our ground handling teams are all operational and we have multiple de-icing machines in service.
‘Health and Safety will always be our top priority and we are working hard to reopen the runway at the earliest opportunity.’
‘Passengers are advised to contact their airline for the most up-to-date flight information.’
