Hundreds of people enjoyed the magic of Christmas when they met Santa at an Edwalton care home festive extravaganza.
Adults and children were also able to climb aboard the Edwalton Express when they attended the free event at Edwalton Manor Care Home, Landmere Lane.
The Edwalton Express took visits on a tour of the gardens before visiting Santa’s grotto, where the children could write their letters.
Edwalton Manor Regional Community Relations Lead Matthew Brown said: “We could not believe how many people turned up, it felt like the whole community was here for our wonderful celebrations.”
At the grotto every child received a gift whilst parents enjoyed hot drinks and delicious cakes. There were also marshmallows on the firepit which created a huge thrill.
Matthew added: “It was a perfect day; everyone was in good spirits and the train was a huge attraction. Thank you to all our wonderful guests for coming along and having such fun.”
