6 pm – Notts Fire: Six fire engines plus the command unit and welfare unit remain on scene in Newark. The fire is being dampened down, but we will likely be in attendance into the night. Please continue to avoid the area.
Nottinghamshire Police said:
‘We are currently assisting our fire colleagues at an industrial fire in Newark.
‘There are currently no road closures in place but please avoid the area while this incident is dealt with.
‘If you live nearby please keep doors and windows closed.’

‘We are still in attendance at an industrial fire in Newark, where a large smoke plume that can be seen from the A46 and A1.
‘Six fire engines, the welfare unit and command unit are on scene.’
