Fire crews responded to the incident in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The roof of the pub, owned by England cricketer Stuart Broad has been destroyed in the incident.

Update on Upper Broughton fire Main Road is closed.
‘We’re still fighting a fire in the roof Property is severely damaged 2 fire engines and our
‘Aerial Ladder Platform still present – Please avoid the area.’
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said at 4:23 am:
‘We currently have 8 fire engines at an incident on Main Road, Upper Broughton.
‘We ask you to please avoid the area if possible and for local residents to keep their doors and windows closed if affected by the smoke.’
‘Eight fire engines from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and Notts Fire along with an aerial ladder platform, water carrier and command support vehicle are in attendance at the fire on Main road, Upper Broughton,’
In an update at 6:20 am:
‘Some crews have been released from the incident on Main Road, Upper Broughton however we will likely remain on scene for a number of hours to come.’
AA Roadwatch reports:
‘Road closed due to building fire on A606 Melton Road both ways between Hickling Lane and Bottom Green.’
