Eight more Nottingham patient deaths with coronavirus takes city total to 177

The sad news was announced today by Nottingham University Hospitals.

Dr Keith Girling, Medical Director at Nottingham University Hospitals said: “Sadly we can confirm that a further eight patients have died having tested positive for COVID-19.

“Regrettably that means that 177 COVID-19 positive patients we were caring for have sadly died since the beginning of March.”

“The patients were aged between 48 and 78, and died between the 26th of March and 24th of April.”

“The families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”
