Detectives in the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) have established a second car may have been involved in a collision that caused the death of a 22-year-old man.
Police and the East Midlands Ambulance Service were called to Nottingham Lane at 7.10am on Thursday 17 July following a report a black Land Rover Discovery had left the carriageway and gone into a ditch.
The driver of the Land Rover, now formally identified as Jack Woodward from Six Hills, was treated by doctors at the scene but died shortly after.

Initial enquiries at the time led officers to believe there was no other vehicles involved.
During the last two months detectives have been investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and believe a second car – a grey Audi A6 – may have been involved. There was no impact between the two cars.
Investigating detectives are still appealing for any witnesses or anyone who captured the cars on their dashcam to contact police.
No arrests in relation to this incident have been made.
In tribute to Jack, his family have released a statement and photo of him.
They said: “Jack had the kindest heart and the biggest smile, and it did not matter if you knew Jack for all of his 22 years or for just 22 minutes.
“He lit up every room he walked in, and the world is a darker place without him.
“He worked incredibly hard, but always had time for everyone. He was selfless, loving, and hilariously funny.
“We continue to raise money for The Air Ambulance Service, who tried so hard to keep Jack in our lives.”
