Expect disruption as West Bridgford Recycling Centre undergoes maintenance for two weeks

Essential maintenance will be carried out at West Bridgford Recycling Centre for two weeks from Monday 21st March.

The site will remain OPEN during this time.

The Recycling Centre is operated by Veolia on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council.

Every effort has been made to minimise disruption to site users although during this time we will not be able to accept plasterboard at the facility.

For residents needing to dispose of plasterboard the closest alternative sites are at Beeston, Calverton and Newark – a full list of sites can be found on the Nottinghamshire County Council website at Recycling Centre details | Nottinghamshire County Council

Service users should consider visiting the site at less busy times – currently Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

All Nottinghamshire Recycling Centres are now open from 8am until 6pm and the hour just before closing tends to be quieter.

To ensure visits are as smooth as possible, residents are advised to sort waste prior to visiting.

Lea Hawkes, General Manager for Veolia Nottinghamshire said:

“The safety of site users and our staff is our top priority. This essential maintenance is required to ensure the site remains safe. We thank residents for their patience and understanding during this time.”
