A popular Nottinghamshire summer attraction will not open in 2026 after extreme weather severely affected the growth of its crops.
The family-run Nottinghamshire ‘Pick Your Own’ Pumpkins, based on Oaks Lane in Oxton, has cancelled this year’s Sunflower Experience and Maize Maze.
Organisers announced: “Unfortunately, The Sunflower Experience and Maize Maze will not be opening in 2026 due to the extreme weather we have experienced over the last few months severely affecting crop growth.”
The attraction, situated just off the A6097 near Southwell, has previously featured acres of sunflowers, a maize maze and a range of pick-your-own produce.
However, the cancellation will not affect its autumn pumpkin-picking season. The team plans to reopen in October and said its pumpkin crop is already “looking amazing”.
Opening dates and visitor information for the pumpkin season are expected to be announced nearer the time through the Nottinghamshire ‘Pick Your Own’ Pumpkins website
