Fake planning application sign on pub is condemned by council

The plans suggest a change of use to an ‘immigration processing hostel’.

Ashfield District Council can confirm that the “planning” signs which have appeared in front of the Blue Bell Pub on Mansfield Road in Skegby that relate to a change of use for the pub turning into an ‘immigration processing hostel’ are fake.

No such planning application exists.

Ashfield District Council Executive Director of Place, Robert Docherty said:

“The Council has not received any such application. As a Council, we cannot understand why anyone would want to do this and a full investigation is now underway.
