Fallen tree causes access problems at Southwell Minster

A fallen tree at Southwell Minster blocks access to part of the site.

The Minster announced in an update on Monday 22 January:

‘Please be aware a large tree has come down in the Minster grounds and is blocking the path by Trebeck Hall.

‘The path is therefore closed until the tree can be safely removed.’

A weather warning for high winds remains in place until 12 noon today.

Winds will gradually ease from the west during Monday morning. West or southwesterly winds are likely to widely gust 50 to 60 mph inland with a few locations, mainly exposed coastal stretches, reaching 70 to 80 mph.
