MO Architects are delighted to announce that planning permission has been granted for a new Masjid to be located at 173 Loughborough Road, West Bridgford.
A spokesperson for the applicants the Fazilat Foundation said:
‘The local community are overjoyed that this new amenity has been granted approval in a proposal that has brought faith leaders together across the community.
‘The Foundation submitted an appeal for non-determination by the Local Authority in November 2020.
‘The Planning Inspectorate today allowed the appeal and granted permission stating that the proposals will not harm the living conditions of local residents and there is adequate on site car parking. The site is in a sustainable location and there will be no hours of use limitation for this place of worship.
‘The opening of this new amenity will support and enhance the spiritual lives of many West Bridgford residents.
‘The new Masjid will be opening soon and the Foundation looks forward to opening its doors to the local residents of Chaworth Road and West Bridgford to thank them for their support during the application and appeal process.
‘It’s been a long process to get to this stage and MO Architects are thankful that pragmatism, realism and common sense prevailed during the appeal process.
‘The Fazilat Foundation are grateful to the Secretary of State and Councillor Naseem Begum for her unwavering support.’
