Detectives are investigating and appealing for witnesses after a report of a knifepoint robbery at a bookmakers in Nottingham.
The offender, who was wearing a face covering, entered the Betfred in Ilkeston Road, Nottingham, shortly before 9.30 pm on Saturday (6 April 2024).
He punched a staff member in the face, causing bruising and swelling to her eye and lip, and demanded cash while wielding a knife during the incident.
After putting cash in a bag, he ran out of the store and headed along Ilkeston Road, towards the Tesco Express.
It’s believed the offender is Black, aged in his late 30s, is about 5ft 7ins tall, and is of average build. He was wearing dark clothing.
Police searched the area following the report and investigators are continuing with their inquiries into the incident, including scouring CCTV footage.
Detective Inspector Julian Eminson-Ferry, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our investigation is very much ongoing, and we are working hard to track down the man responsible for this nasty robbery.
“Officers remain in the area while we carry out inquiries. If anyone has any concerns, please speak to an officer.”
