Female student ‘punched repeatedly’ in the face in attack at Nottingham venue

Police have released an image of a woman they wish to trace following a serious assault in a Nottingham venue.

The incident happened in the smoking area at a venue in Talbot Street on Saturday, October 1 at 2.10am.

Two female students, aged 19 and 20, were in the smoking area when they were attacked by a woman.

One of the victims was grabbed by the scalp and punched in the face repeatedly before the suspect fled the scene.

She was left with bruises and cuts to her body.

Police have now released an image of a woman they would like to trace and are calling on the public’s help to identify her.

Detective Constable Sean Parker, who is investigating the incident, said: “This was a horrific, unprovoked attack in the middle of the smoking area of a Nottingham venue. There was completely no need for this attack on two teenagers who were just enjoying a night out in the city.

“We would really like to talk to the person on the CCTV image to help us with our inquiries. If you know the person on the picture or you are the person in this picture, then please get in touch.”
