FHP sell Studio House to Hockley Developments

FHP Property Consultants are pleased to announce the sale of Studio House to Hockley Developments Limited.

The property has, up until recently, been used as a multi occupied commercial building, however Hockley Developments are to now breathe new life into the Victorian former lace mill and have planning approved for residential conversion into 31 apartments for young professionals and families.

Alan Forsyth, of Hockley Developments Ltd commented;
“After several months of planning, we are delighted to finally get started on this development – one of several we have completed in the Nottingham area recently.

“With its traditional original features, such as exposed brick walls and beams, high ceilings and large windows, combined with a modern fibre internet connection, new gas central heating and double glazed windows, the building will be an exciting place to live for both young professionals and families alike. In addition, the views from the apartments on the higher floors are breath- taking, some as far as East Midlands Airport.

“With Help to Buy available, and a 10 year new build warranty – we are expecting strong demand and have already taken reservations on several apartments. We of course could not have done this deal, without the assistance of Thomas Szymkiw of FHP, who worked tirelessly on the transaction throughout the last 12 months.”

Thomas Szymkiw commented;

”I am delighted to have completed on the sale on behalf of retained clients – a deal that took both effort and patience on both parties behalf. The property was unfortunately no longer viable for commercial purposes and I am pleased that it will now provide much needed residential accommodation for local people.

“I very much look forward to seeing the renovation work progress and working together with Alan and Hockley Developments again in the future.”
