FHP selling 10-acre commercial site in Bicester

FHP have been instructed by Cala Homes to market for sale a 10-acre roadside commercial site in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

The site with its 300m frontage sits adjacent to Cala Homes’ 1,700 home development to be known as Himley Village.

David Hargreaves, who is leading on the marketing, said:

“With a significant number of new homes close by plus the Cala Homes development adjacent, the commercial site is a logical location for a Neighbourhood Shopping Centre on part, with the remaining land appropriate subject to planning for office, research or industrial type uses.”

Doug Tweedie from the Birmingham office of FHP said:

“Bicester is a significant growth zone and forms part of the Oxford/Cambridge Arc, the so- called “Knowledge Economy” engine, whilst it is also home to the world famous Bicester Village which is home to some of the biggest fashion brands in the world including Prada, Jimmy Choo and Alexander McQueen.”

Hargreaves went on to say:

“We have had considerable interest not surprisingly in this site from three supermarkets, children’s nurseries, vets, as well as the various coffee drive-thru brands and the fast food drive-thru operators. We expect further interest from the family pub/diner sector, gyms and self storage in due course.”

Phil Daniels from FHP said:

“Over the next seven years 10,000 new homes will be built in Bicester, it really is a major growth zone.”

FHP are guiding the price for the site with the benefit of “Outline Planning Consent” at £7,000,000 – £7,500,000.
