A field blaze behind the A52 is being dealt with by Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Nottinghamshire Fire said they were called out at 3:27 pm to the fire at a field off the A52 at Holme Pierrepont.
The fire is on land behind the service station eastbound leaving West Bridgford.
Four crews have attended the fire, London Road, East Leake, Newark and Highfields.
Two fire engines are on the field and another two on the roadside near local buildings.
Traffic isn’t affected.
A large area is blackened but no flames appear to be at the scene as firefighters continue their work.
