Detectives investigating a fight in the street have charged a fifth suspect.
Officers were called to Foxhall Road, Forest Fields, Nottingham, at 7.25 pm on Tuesday 16 May after reports a group of young men were fighting with knives.
Twenty-one-year-old Amahni Maitland, of Ashwell Gardens, has been charged with violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon. He is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (25 July).
Four suspects have already appeared in court in relation to the incident.
Cameron Green, aged, 30, of Russell Road, pleaded guilty to violent disorder and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place on 26 May at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court and is awaiting sentencing.
Eighteen-year-old Kane Steel, of Bradgate Road, and a 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at the same court on 18 May charged with violent disorder.
Steel has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
The 15-year-old has been charged with possession of a bladed article in relation to an earlier incident, in Noel Street, on 11 May when officers stopped a suspect acting suspiciously and found a knife in his clothing.
A 16-year-old boy, who also cannot be named, appeared before magistrates on 20 May charged with violent disorder, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of cannabis.
Three people were treated at Queen’s Medical Centre for injuries which are not currently believed to be life-altering or life-threatening following the Forest Fields incident.
Detective Inspector Kayne Rukas, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “I hope members of the community are reassured by our robust response to this incident of violent disorder.
“I am pleased we have charged a fifth individual as we continue this detailed investigation.”
