On 6 September at 22:42 crews from Mansfield and Ashfield stations were called to an industrial fire in Dalestorth Street, Sutton in Ashfield.
Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera, high pressure hosereel and a positive pressure ventilator to extinguish the fire and clear heavy smoke from the building.
The unit is home to Frenchie Frenchie, a dog food bakery chain with retail units in Nottingham, Mansfield and Essex.
The cause of the fire has been deemed electrical.
Arran Giles, who owns the business with his partner Liam, said: “We would just like to thank the firefighters, without them arriving as quickly as they did, we wouldn’t have a business left.”
“We were alerted to the fire through cameras on our phone, and crews were at the scene within minutes. They were amazing, working quickly to clear the room for us and minimise the damage.”

Jonathan Wilson, District Manager, said: “if you are a business and you are leaving your premises, ensure all electricals are switched off and unplugged. A fire can easily start when electrical products are left unattended.”
