Fire crews remain at the scene of today’s Thames Street blaze

Fire crews remain on the scene of Bulwell incident.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said:

‘Two crews remain on scene at the fire on Thames Street Bulwell to damp down.

‘We do not expect any further issues with smoke, however, if you are still affected please keep doors and windows closed and we thank local residents for their patience.’

15:00 | Update | We have begun to reduce our presence at the incident on Thames Street Bulwell. Two crews will remain to damp down for the next couple of hours.

14:00 | Update | We remain on scene at the fire on Thames Street Bulwell and will be there for some time. Please avoid the area and we ask local residents to close doors and windows due to a small asbestos risk in the smoke, we are continuing to work hard to resolve this incident and have put measures in place to contain as much asbestos as possible.

13:00 | Update | Approximately 60 firefighters are currently tackling a fire on Thames Street Bulwell. Please avoid the area.

12:25 | Update | Due to a risk of asbestos in the smoke please avoid the area around Thames Street Bulwell and we ask local residents to close their doors and windows.
