Fire crews attended a fire in the early hours at the Litmus Building in Nottingham.
Updating at 7 am the service said:
‘Update 7am | The fire is now out, and we are working with Nottinghamshire Police
to reassure residents and get them back into the building safely.
‘King Edward Street – which is the entrance to the Litmus building – is closed, however surrounding roads are open.’
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue service said at 4:33 am Monday 29 April:
‘We currently have a number of crews in attendance at a fire on Huntingdon Street, Nottingham.
We are likely to be here for some time so please avoid the area whilst we deal with this incident – thank you!’
AA Roadwatch:
‘Fire service activity on A60 Huntingdon Street both ways between A6008 Lower Parliament Street and Alfred Street North. Traffic is coping well.’
