Updated: Fire engine involved in collision in Nottingham – avoid area

There are delays to traffic building in the area if the incident.

‘The scene has now been handed over to Nottinghamshire Police to conduct a collision investigation.

‘ There have been no reports of any injuries from this incident and the road has now been re-opened.’

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said at 1:14 pm Sunday 25 February:

‘Whilst en route to an incident a fire appliance has been involved in a road traffic collision at the junction of Valley Road and Nottingham Road in Basford.

‘There is significant traffic disruption in the area and we advise drivers to find an alternative route.’
