The blaze was at Newthorpe near Eastwood.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said:
‘Yesterday 11 January at 16:36 crews from Eastwood and Stockhill Fire Station were mobilised to Halls Lane in Newthorpe.
‘On arrival the crews discovered a well-developed grass fire in the adjacent fields.
‘Beaters were used to initially control the fire due to its remote location, whist a main jet was established to fully extinguish and dampen down the area.
