Fire Service release pictures of van fire they attended on return from school visit


Fire crews in Southwell attended the blaze on Monday 25th November.

A spokesperson said:

‘Firstly we went to see apple class as Bleasby school to talk about how we help people in the community

‘On our way back to station we were mobilised to a van fire. Crews used two Hose reels and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. The incident was then handed over to police.

‘In the evening we welcomed Southwell cubs to the station for an RTC demonstration. The children learned about the tools we use and how we go about extricating people from cars.’
