Birds Bakery has completed a significant renovation of its flagship Lister Gate store in Nottingham city centre, which is now open and welcoming customers.
Lister Gate temporarily closed its doors on Saturday 18 April to undergo a complete transformation and officially reopened on Thursday 30 April.
The store, which first opened in 2019, is the 13th to be redesigned as part of a rollout across all 62 branches across the East Midlands.
The refurbished store incorporates the brand’s new spring green and teal colour palette, blending modern aesthetics with the 100-year heritage that has made Birds a household name.
Catering to busy office workers and city centre shoppers, the new-look bakery offers a “grab and go” experience as well as a new, improved seating area for those who want to enjoy their treats in-store.
Customers can enjoy a range of sandwiches and salads on offer – alongside Birds’ legendary sausage rolls and barista-style coffees, all handcrafted using fresh and locally sourced ingredients.

Birds Bakery’s Lister Gate store is located at 2-4 Lister Gate, Nottingham NG1 7DD and is open from 7:30am-4pm Monday to Saturday, and 9am-4pm on Sundays.
