The first stage of repairs to the carriageway surface on Melton Road in West Bridgford starts on 2 August.
Multi-way temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 09:30 am until 3:30 pm on Friday 2 August.
The location for the works is between the junctions with Burleigh Road and Stamford Road.
Work is being carried out by Via East Midlands.
West Bridgford South County Councillor Jonathan Wheeler told the Wire:
“I am very pleased that we are seeing large areas of Melton Road resurfaced.
“The floods last winter caused huge damage to the road and I have been working with officers to get the funding together for the repair. It is not cheap to put it mildly but urgently needed.
“This is the first stage with further work taking place in September through to December on the length of the road from Edwalton down to Melton Road shops.
“Thank you to the resident’s who raised the issue and the many who work along Councillors and officers to report potholes on the MyNotts App, so we can get them repaired as soon as possible. The app is free to download, or you can report on www.nottscc.gov.uk.”
