Five fire crews attend serious house fire in Nottinghamshire

At 3:49am this morning, the Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to an incident on Greenholme Close, Kirkby in Ashfield.

Five appliances attended the incident, with crews from Hucknall, Mansfield, Alfreton, Arnold and Chesterfield arriving to tackle the blaze.

NFRS said that their investigation into the “serious incident” is currently ongoing. No details of any injuries have been issued yet.

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Five crews attended a serious incident last night on Greenholme Close in Kirkby in Ashfield. Fire investigation is currently ongoing.”

Fire crews left the scene at 7:25am on Saturday morning. The investigation into the cause of the fire is expected to continue into the day.
