Crews from Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire attended the fire.
A spokesperson for Stapleford Fire Station said:
‘Yesterday afternoon ( Wednesday 19 March ), we were called out to an industrial fire at a pub in Ilkeston.
‘We deployed two breathing apparatus wearers, followed by two from Ilkeston Community Fire Station, and then a further two from Stapleford to tackle the fire from inside the property.
‘This included breaking through the ceiling to gain access to the affected compartment.
‘We were joined by a number of crews from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service and Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service, including Derbyshire’s Aerial Ladder Platform, to tackle the fire from above and ultimately bring the incident to a close.

‘This incident proved to be a testament to the effectiveness of our cross-border working, bringing the incident to a swift conclusion and successfully preventing what had the potential to be a far more serious situation.
‘Well done to all involved.’
