Flags are flying today at Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Rushcliffe Arena site to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

Thousands displayed enormous heroism and stormed the beaches of Normandy to help turn the tide in World War Two, it is thanks to them we enjoy peace and freedom today.
