Updated: Flood WARNING ACT NOW issued for property near River Trent at Lenton and Queen’s Drive

Flooding is expected  today.

The Environment Agency said:

‘River levels have risen at the Colwick river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property and farmland is expected to continue.

‘Areas most at risk are Nottingham Park and Ride on Queens Drive, Lenton Lane and Power League Football Pitches.

‘Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation.

‘Please avoid contact with flood water and stay aware in case further warnings are issued.’Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area.
