There are long delays on the A52 near Edwalton because of flooding.

Lane 2 is now OPEN on the A52 in Nottinghamshire eastbound between the A60 (Nottingham Knight) and the A606 (near Edwalton) due to water levels subsiding.
Lane 1 remains CLOSED for clear up works following flooding.

National Highways said at 5 pm on 2 January:
‘1 lane (of 2) is closed on the A52 eastbound in Nottinghamshire between the A60 (Nottingham Knight) and the A606 ( Wheatcroft Island near Edwalton) due to flooding.
Our contractors will be working to clear the water.
There’s a 50 minute delay with 3 miles of congestion.’
A52 West bound currently closed beyond Bassingfield turn. Cotgrave is barely passable.
