Footage of Nottingham hotel fire as investigation begins

The disused Strathdon Hotel in Derby Road was the scene if the blaze on Monday 30 August.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said:

‘The fire was reported at 12.40pm at a disused hotel on Derby Road.

“The fire is located on several floors.
Fire on the ground floor has been extinguished, crews are searching the remainder of the building.”
In an update at around 4 pm they added:

The incident at The Strathdon Hotel has now been resolved ( 30 August).

’14 Firefighters in breathing apparatus with two hose reel jets, positive pressure ventilation were used.

‘Fire investigation is in progress working closely with Nottinghamshire Police to determine the cause.’

Crews from London Road, Stockhill, Carlton, Arnold, Mansfield, Stapleford, Highfields and West Bridgford attended the incident.
