Force supports football activities in the community this Friday

Nottinghamshire Police is supporting Nottingham Forest’s Community Trust scheme again this Friday, which promises to be another full day of fun activities including tennis, football and fitness challenges.

The day will be full of fun activities including football, tennis, foot-golf and fitness challenges in open spaces.

The programme will see sports sessions aimed at 8-18 year-olds throughout the county’s open spaces. This week’s session is at 11am-2.45pm on Friday 24 July at Broxtowe Country Park.

Nottinghamshire Police’s Youth Outreach Worker Romel Davis is working with the football club with the programme.

He said: “The aim is to get young people out of their homes as restrictions ease and get them involved in sport and fitness and have fun.

“We are really keen to have the most vulnerable and disadvantaged to take part too, so please do get in touch if you know anyone who might benefit from the sessions and we can reserve them a slot.”
