Former Paul Smith store on Byard Lane to be linked by a bridge with Weekday Cross property


Plans have been approved to change use for the ground floor of two properties in Nottingham’s Byard Lane and Weekday Cross into retail, cafe or office space, with the upper floor to be apartments. The buildings will be linked by a bridge.

Plans are to change the use of the ground floor of 6 Weekday Cross (pictured) to Use Class A1 (Shop), A2 (Financial and Professional Services) or A3 (Restaurant and Cafe) and the ground floor of 10 Byard Lane to A2 (Financial and Professional Services), or A3 (Restaurant and Cafe). Alterations to the frontage of Byard Lane.

There will also be a bridge to the rear connecting to two properties.

There will be a conversion of upper floors to make seven 2-bedroom self-contained flats and the construction of bridge link to rear. Replacement of windows to front elevation ( upper floors only ) and internal alterations to listed building.

No 10 Byard Lane is the former Paul Smith store in Nottingham which closed in August 2017.
