Police have charged four suspects after a man was attacked outside a nightclub.
Officers were called to St James’s Street, Nottingham city centre, after a 22-year-old was knocked unconscious after being attacked by a group shortly after 4am on Monday (5 May).
The victim suffered a head injury and was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre to undergo tests. He has since been discharged.
Jayden Gunter, aged 19, of Barent Walk, Bestwood, and Kiarne McLeary, aged 24, of Beechdale Road, Broxtowe Estate, Nottingham, have been charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
They were granted conditional bail after appearing at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (7 May) and are next due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 4 June.
Alfie Seagrave, aged 21, of Rugby Road, West Bridgford, and Jaden Walters, aged 21, of Moorfield Court, Stapleford, have both been charged with attempted wounding with intent and possession of a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place.
They were remanded into custody and were due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Friday 9 May).

“This was a violent assault and it was pure luck the victim was not more seriously injured.
“Nottinghamshire Police strongly condemns all forms of violence and I hope our response in arresting and charging four suspect provides reassurance to the victim and wider public.”
