Four people have been charged with the kidnap of a man in Ilkeston.
Officers made a number of arrests in relation to an incident in which a man in his 20s was taken away against his will in Bridge Street on Thursday 30 July.
The victim was safely located.
Four men have now been charged with kidnap and assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH).
They are:
– Kien Rigley (23), of Barlborough Road, Ilkeston
– Kainan Wilson (21), of Market Street, Ironville, Nottinghamshire
– Zabed Miah (24), of Wilton Street, Ilkeston
– Lewis Birks-Iacovitti (24), of Rossell Drive, Stapleford, Nottinghamshire
Wilson is also charged with possession of a knife in a public place.
Miah is also facing a second charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) relating to a separate incident on Friday 17 July.
All appeared before Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 1 August.
They were remanded into custody and are due to appear before Derby Crown Court on Friday 28 August.
