The news was announced by Nottingham University Hospitals on 9th April.
Dr Keith Girling, Medical Director at Nottingham University Hospitals said: “Sadly we can confirm that a further four patients have died having tested positive for COVID-19.
“Regrettably that means that 72 COVID-19 positive patients we were caring for have sadly died since the beginning of March.”
“The patients were aged 53 and 82, and died on the 7th April.”
“The families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”
