Four more Nottingham patients have died having tested positive for COVID-19 – taking total to 40

The sad news was announced by Nottingham University Hospitals this morning.

Dr Keith Girling, Medical Director at Nottingham University Hospitals said: “Sadly we can confirm that a further four patients have died having tested positive for COVID-19.

“Regrettably that means that 40 COVID-19 positive patients we were caring for have sadly died since the beginning of March.”

“The patients were aged 57 and 97, and died between the 1st and 3rd April.”

“The families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”
