Firefighters from Stapleford attended the incident.
Police said:
‘At 1 am on Tuesday 21 December, we were called to a report of a road traffic collision on the A52 between Sherwin and Bardills Island.
‘Upon arrival and during some pretty bad weather we found a single vehicle which had come to rest on its roof in the carriageway.
‘Unbelievably, all four of the occupants escaped without any sign of an obvious injury.
‘In the run-up to Christmas, many of us will be juggling our commitments, rushing around and maybe attending more social events than normal.
‘Please remember that alcohol and driving do not mix at all, so if you are drinking, have none for the road.’
