West Bridgford’s Bridgford Park will transform into a free outdoor Sunday cinema today(September 12) and again on September 26 showing a feast of film favourites, courtesy of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Across the two dates guests can enjoy family favourites through to blockbuster classics during the events hosted by Rushcliffe Borough Council that require no tickets or pre-booking.
Families and individuals are invited to bring picnic chairs and blankets to each showing, with plenty of cinema treats available including Pick and Mix, ice cream, popcorn, hot food and a licenced bar from 1pm each day.
Today, they can sit back and relax to enjoy one of the following films:
Sunday September 12:
2pm – The Lion King 2019 (PG)
6pm – Bridesmaids (15) – will not be suitable for younger viewers
The Council is aware of the nearby Nottingham Forest v Cardiff City match at The City Ground, starting at 2.30pm today, and advising cinema event goers to arrive early for the first 2pm showing.
Then, on Sunday September 26:
2pm – Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (PG)
6pm – The Italian Job (PG) – the original 1969 film
The cinematic series build on the success of the similar 2019 events at the same location and event goers are advised to use public transport to and from the event.
Screenings will still go ahead in inclement weather so visitors are advised to dress for the great British summer!
Parents or guardians accompanying children to the events are asked to adhere to the film’s certification.
