Saturday the 18 November saw the return of the Friary Pop-Up Shop at 34 Musters Road, West Bridgford for two weeks.
The shop has been filled with pre-loved clothing and accessories, generously donated by members of the public.
Shelley Millband, the Friary’s Marketing & Communications Officer said:
‘We opened our doors on Saturday to receive a big warm welcome back from the community.
“It’s so nice to be back again, meeting people whilst raising much-needed funds for the Friary.
“Our Pop-Up Shop has raised an amazing £12,000 so far this year.
“Since we opened the shop, we feel it has become a friendly hub, where people can call in from all over Nottingham to donate, purchase a bargain or volunteer.
“We take pride in saving clothes and items from landfill, whist we keep the cost low to help and support individuals and families, at a time when we are all faced with an ever-increasing cost of living’.
All the money raised from the Pop-Up Shop will go towards the cost of running the Drop-In Centre, which has seen a significant increase in service users this year.
The shop is open from 10 am to 4 pm every day, except Sundays, until Friday the 1st of December. Please visit the shop to support the Friary’s work.
The shop is at 34 Musters Road, West Bridgford
