Fundraiser launched to provide brand new books for Nottingham’s Hayward House palliative care unit

Hayward House is a specialist palliative care unit in the grounds of the City Hospital in Nottingham, which provides high quality care centred on the needs of patients and their families.

Joanna Coates is an Independent Usborne Organiser and she’s launched a fundraiser to get lots of brand new Usborne books for Hayward House, a cause that is close to her and her extended family’s heart.

Joanna told us:
‘I am hoping to raise enough money to be able to purchase some activity-based books for the patients and their families, to help create some lasting memories together, and also be able to purchase a varied range of books to be placed in the family room within the unit for use by the younger relatives visiting their families.
The more money that is raised, the more free books Usborne will add – if I can raise £630, this will mean that Hayward House will get £1,000 of books, which is around 150 books.
