Galliford Try wins £43m bid for Broadmarsh transformation works

Nottingham City Council chooses Galliford Try redevelop Broadmarsh car park under a £43m design and build contract.

The construction firm will be responsible for the development of the design and redevelopment the site.

Galliford Try will also be responsible for building retail units on Collin Street, Carrington Street, Canal Street which are included in the bus station concourse leading to Tanner’s Walk.

The project forms part of the wider £86m Broadmarsh shopping centre redevelopment being constructed by Sir Robert McAlpine.

The new construction will include a bus station, retail units and car park.

It will have a 1,341-space car park, electric vehicle plug-in points and a taxi drop-off point as well as solar panels and digital advertising boards.

The new building will then integrate with the intu Broadmarsh shopping centre, and the area will be largely pedestrianised.
