Residents at Gamston Caravan Park are being supported by Rushcliffe Borough Council(RBC) and partners following an electricity outage at the site.
Leader of Rushcliffe Borough Council(RBC) Cllr Neil Clarke said: “Residents at Gamston Caravan Park are continuing to be supported by the Council and partners following an electricity outage at the site on Thursday.
“40 homes were affected after the electricity supply was disconnected and power returned to a majority of homes by 8.45pm last night thanks to Council efforts to ensure the landlord, energy provider E.On and National Gird worked together to restore it.
“The remaining six properties are now being connected and officers continue to assist residents wherever needed.
“Yesterday, RBC’s Strategic Housing and Environmental Health officers were on site quickly, listening and responding to residents’ health, welfare and housing needs, supported by Nottinghamshire County Council.
“We activated our emergency plan and quickly set up an Information Hub at nearby Gamston Village Hall with the support of the Parish Council for residents’ queries, who accessed hot drinks and electricity as required.
“Housing and Customer Services Officers also responded to residents’ enquiries in person and over the phone to support them.
“Anyone still affected who hasn’t accessed support in person should call the Council on 0115 981 9911.”
