Gas mains replacement works will bring a series of road closures, temporary traffic lights and parking restrictions to West Bridgford between September and December.
Cadent Gas is due to begin work on Monday 28 September, with the overall programme scheduled to continue until Friday 18 December 2026.
Restrictions will change as work progresses, with individual roads affected on different dates. The road closures and waiting, loading and unloading restrictions will apply around the clock during their specified periods.
There are overlapping dates for restrictions on Rectory Road and Gordon Road, but it is explicitly stated that the two closures will not operate at the same time.
Road closures during September and October
Rectory Road will be closed to eastbound traffic between Exchange Road and Central Avenue from Monday 28 September to Friday 9 October.
Exchange Road will be closed from its junction with Rectory Road for 30 metres southwards from Tuesday 29 September to Friday 9 October.
Gordon Road will be closed to northbound traffic along the 70-metre section immediately south of its junction with Rectory Road from Monday 5 October to Friday 16 October.
Although the advertised dates for Rectory Road and Gordon Road overlap between 5 and 9 October, the bulletin says these closures will not be in place simultaneously. It does not specify the exact date when the closure will switch between the two roads.
Diversion routes
The bulletin directs diverted Exchange Road traffic via Musters Road and Rectory Road.
For the eastbound Rectory Road closure, the listed diversion follows Musters Road, Melton Road, Burleigh Road and Gordon Road.
For the northbound Gordon Road closure, the listed diversion follows Rectory Road, Musters Road, Melton Road and Burleigh Road.

Parking and loading restrictions during October and November
Waiting, loading and unloading will be prohibited at all times on both sides of the entire length of Albert Road from Monday 19 October to Friday 13 November.
The same restrictions will apply along the whole of Violet Road, on both sides, from Monday 2 November to Friday 20 November.
Temporary traffic lights
Temporary two-way and multi-way traffic lights will also be used as work progresses on Albert Road, Violet Road, Abbey Road and Cyril Road.
These will operate as required, with arrangements signed on site. The bulletin does not provide individual dates for the traffic lights on each road.
The overall works programme runs until 18 December, although the specified road closures finish in October and the waiting and loading restrictions finish in November.
