West Bridgford Way’s Christmas Market will take place today Saturday December 4, giving visitors an opportunity to meet and explore a variety of local businesses and enjoy festive activities and entertainment.
The Test Match Hotel on Gordon Road will host the market from 4 pm to 9 pm, welcoming a range of local businesses including Tiffin Tea House and Lulu B.
The Christmas event is supported by Shared Prosperity Funding from the UK Government.
A youth choir from West Bridgford Junior School will also be performing outside the venue from 4 pm and there will be street performers from Can Samba providing entertainment throughout the evening.
Children can post their letters to Santa in a specially installed post box located outside the Test Match Hotel and Warren’s Barber Shop.
Many businesses along Gordon Road will also be extending their opening hours to ensure visitors don’t miss out on the opportunity to see what’s on offer along the popular street.
Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Deputy Leader Cllr Abby Brennan said: “We’re delighted West Bridgford Way is bringing a new Christmas market to Gordon Road in the town next Saturday, highlighting another thriving retail area in the town!
“It will be a fun festive event where visitors can enjoy a range of food, drink and festive stalls and meet local business owners, providing another opportunity for businesses to trade and promote the fantastic work they do in the Borough.
“We’re also looking forward to welcoming West Bridgford Junior School’s youth choir who will perform some lovely Christmas carols and songs for all to enjoy!”
West Bridgford Way is a place-based marketing initiative from Rushcliffe Borough Council.
