Heatwave: Weather for Saturday 21 June as temperatures hit 31˚C

Intense summer heat with highs of 31°C, but increasing cloud cover and occasional showers, particularly in the afternoon and early evening.

Early Morning (06:00 – 09:00)
Saturday starts off mild and partly cloudy with temperatures climbing from 17°C at 06:00 to 24°C by 09:00. Winds will gradually strengthen from the east-southeast to south-southeast at 3–7 mph. There’s a slight chance of light showers (10–30%), particularly from 08:00 onwards. Humidity will decrease from 69% to 44%, and visibility will remain very good. Air quality will be favourable with only low pollution levels.

Midday (10:00 – 13:00)
Temperatures continue to rise sharply, reaching 29°C by 13:00 despite increasingly overcast skies. Rain chances increase slightly (20–30%), but most areas will remain dry. Winds pick up from the south-southeast at around 10 mph. Humidity holds around 41–42%, keeping it warm but not muggy. UV levels remain high (4–6), and visibility is very good.

Afternoon (14:00 – 17:00)
The heat persists through the afternoon with peak temperatures of 31°C. Cloud cover thickens, and there’s a growing risk of scattered showers, particularly around 15:00, when the chance of rain peaks at 60%. Winds will continue from the south to south-southwest at 9–8 mph. Despite the showers, humidity stays relatively low (41–46%) and visibility remains very good. The day still feels hot and summery, though more unsettled.

Evening (18:00 – 23:00)
The evening will remain very warm, beginning around 28°C at 18:00 and only cooling to 22°C by 23:00. Light showers are possible early on (40–50% chance), with cloud cover persisting into the night. Winds stay light from the south-southwest at around 7–8 mph. Humidity rises gradually from 45% to 73%, creating a warm, slightly humid evening. Visibility remains very good and air quality stays low in pollution.
