Henry hoover and Amazon parcels stolen in Nottingham Airbnb burglary

Police investigating a burglary at a Nottingham flat have charged a man.

A property in North Circus Street, in the city centre, was targeted at approximately 1.35pm on 9 August.

A burglar entered a flat that is rented out on the Airbnb website and stole a Henry hoover and three Amazon parcels that contained £85 worth of purchases, including a light, razors and a calculator.

Michael Walsh, 48, of Norton Street, Radford, has been charged with burglary and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (30 August).

Detective Constable Jessica Roffe, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“The force treats burglary seriously and our teams are dedicated to investigating this type of criminality and using their expertise to put suspects before the courts at the earliest opportunity.

“Meanwhile our preventative work is ongoing to protect people and their property from burglary and spare them the distress of becoming a victim of crime.”
